Our wedding day was near perfect-except that it was 40 degrees and windy for a rooftop ceremony :)That's what you get in Kansas City in the Spring! We were so blessed to have many friends and family join us on our special day. There was so much to do and see in KC to keep our guests entertained all weekend. Guests traveled from 10 diffent states and found the Weddingmapper to be a great help!
Corie did an amazing job on the Bride, SOG, MOB & MOG. Hair and makeup stayed beautiful all night! Very professional and a delight to work with :)
Adria Hunter, owner of Bloom 47 did a beautiful job on all the flowers for the Rehearsal dinner and the Wedding. Interesting textures, great use of varying flowers, didn't substitute anything! Everything was exactly as ordered and at a great price. Highly recommend!
Easy to work with, non-ubtrusive, nice people. 600+ photos on flashdrive a month after wedding! 2 formats, high res & social media. Free print w/3 online reviews. 1 yr anniv. gift photo; free newborn shoot when the time comes! Jeff & Jenilee are great!
Ordered tuxedo's in 2 States-California & Kansas. Only issue was with 1 Top Hat; hat wasn't there and then was given a hat that was too small. Had tuxes w/tails, top hats, gloves & canes-perfect look for Movie Theme wedding. Entered Reception to Puttin' On the Ritz :)
Owner Ida is very scatterbrained. Not good at returning phone calls in a timely manner. Also, found out 3 wks prior to wedding that she never ordered the Flower Girl dress! made a lot of excuses. Undo stress!
Best BBQ meal EVER! Dinner for 50 in the Private Dining Room was even better than when we've eaten in the restaurant!! Burnt Ends were out of this world, ribs were lean and super tasty. All guests raved about the choices and amount of food in the BBQ Feast buffet-perfect! Even friends from Texas thought it was the best BBQ they'd ever had!!Very highly recommend :)
Wedding on the Games Deck. Although it has a lovely view of the city, The Westin obviously does not do many weddings on-site. You MUST have a Wedding Coordinator or at least a Day-Of. Add on cost for sound the week prior to wedding-didn't know what he was doing! Music played too long after Bride was down the aisle-no fade out. Speakers were never turned during Cocktail Hour so guests could hear the music better. Platform was too small for the wedding party so they stood on the ground while B&G, Minister & sand ceremony table were on platform. Soloists were able to stand on platform during their songs. It's an Enormous space yet the platform was set up way to close to the front row of chairs so that the Bride & Groom's parents had a difficult time seeing past the Bridal Party to see the B&G throughout the ceremony. Wouldn't recommend. Also to get to the reception, guests had to take the elevators down to the Lobby, then get in another elevator to travel to the reception space. On a busy Friday evening this was disasterous-Groom waited at the Altar 5mins before the Bride could get an elevator to take her to the ceremony :(
Fabulous City and WWI Museum views!! Day to Night views were spectacular! Food was excellent (Herb Crusted chicken breast) with great presentation. Though difficult not having all guests on the same level it all worked out nicely with plenty of space to dance, eat & socialize. Enough of room for 110 guests, photobooth, gift table, candy bar, etc. Space should be renamed since it hasn't been Benton's Steakhouse for a couple of years-a hotel guest came up looking to get dinner at the Steakhouse! Guests were very impressed by this Crown Center venue.
