June 29, 2008, the first hot/sunny day of the summer. And it happened on our wedding day. The temperature got to 34 Celsius that day from 22 the day before. We couldn't have asked for a nicer summer day. The wedding was wonderful and the pictures are incedible! We didn't want a high-brow, high cost location, but rather a natural beauty location reflective of Vancouver and convenient to guests from all areas in the lower mainland. In late June, the Rose Garden was a spectacular venue within the hidden jewel of Queen's Park in New Westminister.
Kathleen is a wonderfully resourceful and suggestive asset to our vendor team! The centerpiece flowers and bouquets were exotic and exceptional.
Centennial Lodge is a great value for money and the staff are very professional. The lodge accomodated our 88 guests seated at round tables(8/table) nicely for buffet dinner and we had ample room for a dance area too.
Queen's Park is a beatiful, natural setting, city-run park in the heart of the city. If your guests are bringing children, the petting zoo and playground are convenient distractions between the ceremony and reception.
