This venue met every expectation. The second I walked into the Hall of Mirrors, I knew this is where I wanted my reception. What drew me to the location originally was the beauty and history of the hotel. I love the architecture and detail put into every aspect of the venue, and it is hard to find a place that truly reflects the craftsmanship and art of the time. I worked with Ashley Judy and Lori Fahey; I loved the fact that took the time to give me a tour of the hotel and explain the history behind it. Ashley was a very detailed, engaged and thoughtful wedding coordinator. She listened to what I wanted and executed beyond those desires. The staff really takes time to understand your specific wants and needs. The evening of the reception, every detail was executed flawlessly, or so they made it seem. Even our head waiter could not have been nicer or more attentive during the night. Overall the space is a breathtaking work of art and the service is icing on the cake!
We had a room block at the Hilton, and my parents also held a day-after brunch at their restaurant. Kelly was extremely responsive via phone and email with any random questions I had throughout the year of planning! I picked the Hilton because of the location and the fact that it’s such an interesting and beautiful place. The brunch guests turned in vouchers & that went smoothly. The rooms also went smoothly, as far as I know. They actually gave my parents a really good deal on their room in the end, and waived a couple nights of their valet parking, because of all the business we gave them. The room that Michael and I stayed in the night of the wedding was amazing. It was much bigger than the “King Mini Suite” that they showed me on the tour. Our room was on the top floor, HUGE, on a corner so it had several windows. When we got there, there was a bottle of champagne, an assortment of chocolates, strawberries, and a note from Kelly. It was a great touch. Oh – they also arranged to have my bags moved from my parents room to my room during the wedding day … that saved us the headache of having to stop at my parents’ hotel room before going to ours!
The hotel is beautiful, and the junior suite worked out well. My fiance and I booked two seperate suites to get ready in. There was however two things that itrritated me about the hotel. 1.) we were guests that booked two seperate upgraded suites yet the manager approached us while we were getting wedding photos done before the ceremony and told us only guests having marriage ceremony in hotel could have pics done in hotel. 2.) they did nothing special for us knowing that we were getting married...
This hotel gave us the perfect location for our out-of-state guests to enjoy Cincinnati. The ambiance was exactly what we had hoped. The period of the hotel was the same as our venue. The staff and service at the Hilton Netherland was top-notch.
