The Radisson is a beautiful hotel. It is newly renovated and very nice all around. The only negative aspects of the hotel were that the air conditioning went out in our honeymoon suite, so the female bridal party was moved to two small rooms to get ready. This created a problem with space and really didn't live up to my idea of having my bridal party altogether. Although the Radisson was accomodating to us, it still was an unfortunate problem.
I was also not happy that the hotel was sold out. Although my guests were able to book 30 rooms, some guests had to go to another hotel. I believe that if you book the iWireless you should have "first dibs" on the Radisson. I was upset that all of my out of town guests could not all be together.
Additionally, my guests complained that after the reception the hotel security was very rude to them. A few of my guests wrote letters to the hotel after to complain. I am sure that my guests were loud, and many of them drunk, but from what I was told, they were treated with a lot of disrespect. My wedding provided a large sum of revenue for the Radisson that weekend (since my husband and I, along with many in our bridal party are from Chicago) and I don't believe anyone should be treated like that.
We were a little disappointed with the service at the Radisson. When we booked our block of rooms for our out of town guests, we specifically asked about any big events in the area that corresponded with our wedding weekend to determine if we should block a larger group of rooms right away. We were assured several times that that wouldn't be necessary because there was no event that weekend. Well, about 3 weeks before the wedding the emails and phone calls started pouring in about how no one could get reservations at the Radisson because it was totally booked. Why? The Quad Cities Marathon was also the weekend of our wedding. I think it was a pretty big failure on the part of the Radisson to not keep track of big events like that. It caused us some extra unneeded stress!
