The Good - Excellent location to the Kim Son Ballroom. We had the double parlor suite, and it worked perfectly as a place for family and friends to gather before and after wedding events. Brittany was my point of contact with the hotel, and she did an excellent job of keeping me updated with my hotel block and any other requests I had in preparing for the wedding weekend. The hotel shuttle was a great perk for getting my guests staying at the hotel to the reception. The concierge provided lots of great information on local eateries.
The bad - We had our cocktail hour in the lobby lounge, and unfortunately, the bar did not follow the arrangement that Brittany put together for us. We had 50 drink tickets for my guests, and the bar tried to charge for 54 drink tickets. Fortunately, the father of the groom stood his ground and did not allow any charges above 50 drink tickets. By the next day, we find that the cocktail hour drinks were charged to the wrong room, and when we went to fix the problem, we find that they charged for 41 drink tickets.
A few days after the wedding, an additional charge from the minibar shows up on my credit bill. The minibar stayed locked up the entire time of our stay! We even left a larger tip for housekeeping for some extra trash we left in the room, so the additional charge ticked me off.
Overall, the room and location were great. The preparation leading up to the event was excellent, but the people in charge of executing the plan fell through. I would recommend this place for a simple hotel stay only and let the front desk know exactly what, if anything, was used in the minibar.
