We ordered approximately 200 cupcakes and a double sized 8 inch fondant round cake from Annie at Cake Couture. Our first consultation meeting was fantastic, she was extremely flexible with what we were asking for and gave us excellent suggestions to make the cake better. Our second meeting was our tasting in which we got to try several different cakes she offers along with several different fillings and icings for the cupcakes. We decided to go with three different flavours- Tiramisu (marble cake with coffee creme filling and cream cheese frosting), Strawberry Shortcake (Vanilla butter cake with strawberry filling and buttercream frosting) and Black Forest (the most dense/moist chocolate cake, cherry filling, and buttercream frosting). We requested Panda fondant faces to top the swirled icing on the cupcakes and for the fondant cake we requested simple Japanese bamboo art. She handpainted the bamboo art on the white fondant cake and it looked absolutely amazing. Incredibly talented artistically and also incredibly delicious! Would go back to Cake Couture for all our celebratory cakes!
