WEDDING INFORMATION: Judge Cary is available to officiate wedding ceremonies in Hays County and surrounding counties. Contact his office at (512) 295-2700 for fee and scheduling information. To obtain a marriage license in Hays County, both applicants should appear at the Hays County Records Building located at 137 North Guadalupe Street in San Marcos, Texas. Office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, M-F. A marriage license does not have to be obtained in Hays County for Judge Cary to perform the ceremony, he can officiate a wedding anywhere in Texas. A marriage license must be dated 72 hours prior to the ceremony. A license cannot be more than 30 days old. There are procedures for obtaining a license when one of the parties is absent and to waive the 72 hour waiting period. Contact the County Clerk in your county for more information.
