The Palais Royale

Although at first it seemed as though they were very hands-off, as we got closer to our date the staff at the Palais kicked into high gear and were very professional throughout. What we especially loved was how they tried to give everything a personal touch. The venue co-ordinator was attentive to detail, and the food... oh, the food! Chef Steffan is a genius! The guests were raving and our only regret was that there was nothing left over to take home! You couldn't ask for a more beautiful location by the side of the lake. This is a venue best suited for parties of about 150-250 people, in my estimation (we had 200 and it was about right), and it's not the cheapest option, but we definitely felt as though we got our money's worth.

I cannot rave enough about the Palais Royale. They went out of their way to give us a very personal experience, answering all our questions and even incorporating some of our favourite recipes into the menu. Our guests could not believe the food. It was beyond outstanding. Chef Steffan does an amazing job, and he sources locally and sustainably whenever he can. The rest of the staff was professional, fun, and helpful. The venue itself is gorgeous. We loved that we could have our ceremony looking out over Lake Ontario and later hang out on the deck in the lovely lounge furniture they provided. The ballroom looks stunning when it's done up. The bridal suite facilities downstairs were great for getting ready. There was lots of storage so that we could bring things in advance and pick them up the next day.
