The DJ made the party - but he did not play all of our playlist music - instead started taking requests from guests. In a previous meeting, we said we would rather he play all our playlist before accepting requests. I also said that the bridal party and immediate family should be able to make requests but he wouldn't play the song the mother-of-the-bride requested! It seems to me that you should try to make the parents happy, especially since they footed the bill. The DJ also cut off the mother/son dance way earlier than discussed.
