If you have an endless supply of money, the Ritz is your place. I would HIGHLY suggest hiring a dedicated wedding coordinator if you're going to use the Ritz. Communication is very spotty until about 2 weeks before the wedding. More than once, our emails went over 6 weeks without reply. Also, they give the bride and groom a complimentary room the night of the wedding, but be sure to UPGRADE. They will not do this for free until the day of the ceremony, and then they cannot guraantee a room will be available. I say this because the only hotel rooms I've seen smaller are those in New York. It's astounding how small their rooms are. The suites, however, are fine, and we were lucky enough to be upgraded (after MUCH complaining).
With all that said, the ceremony and reception are top notch at the Ritz. The setting (either garden) is beautiful, and the food for the reception was excellent.
Like I said before, if money is not an issue, the Ritz is for you.
p.s. obviously, to even afford the minimum takes a fair amount of money, and the bride's parents were extrememly generous. We tried to stay as close to the minimum as possible, as we reserved the Ritz before the financial meltdown :(
