Genn Shaughnessy's affinity to produce various types of images for print, video and stage work demonstrates her amazing eye for detail and her unique ability to think outside the lines of conventional thinking.

Genn is currently the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief for the monthly internet publication, Dark Shadows Magazine, Extension Obsession and Extension Obsession Pro.

She also owns and operates a very successful consulting business, Dark Shadows Media, that provides makeup, hair and styling services to the production, special event and salon industries. Dark Shadows Media has been in business since 2000 and has served the Upstate and Metropolitan New York and New Jersey areas. She has also had the privilege of having trained under national and international professional make-up artists and photographers and can boast special celebrity clients such as Carrie Underwood, NY Giants Brandon Jacobs, Leslie Segrete and Laurie Smith from Trading Spaces, Constantine Maroulis from American Idol, the entire US Olympic Hockey team and even former New York State Governor Elliot Spitzer.
