We've now done the flowers for two different weddings by ordering our fresh flowers online from Costco's bulk flower department. Their prices are great, they ship the flowers express(shipping included in the flower price) and the flowers have all been awesome. Don't wait til the last minute to order though -- you have to do it a couple weeks ahead.

If you are as stunned as I was when I got florist estimates, then one way to reduce your costs is to use Costco for the personal flowers. I was able to get the bridal bouquet (with ribbon around the stems and pearls in the flowers), two matching bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages for a total of about $300. Costco has bigger packages too and packages for decorating the room, but my Reception Hall required certain vendor so I comment on their room decor packages. The quality of the flowers is great (extremely fresh, nothing was wilted, not even a little bit) and they ship them to you in a well-protected box 2 days before the wedding so they finish blooming with you. I only gave them 4-stars because you can't customize/combine the flower selections. Other than that, it is a great way to get your flowers.

We were looking for affordable and decided to do centerpieces ourselves. We ordered around 300 gerbera daisies from CostCo and were amazed at how spectacular the flowers were! Each one comes hooded with a tiny net to protect the petals and you just pull that off and they spring to life. We were able to make $150 centerpieces for around $20. If you're hesitant to order flowers online, order one batch several months in advance just to see. I did and it put all my worries to rest when I saw how perfect every stem was.
