An experienced wedding entertainment group, The instigators play "Classic Texas Tunes" that keep your guests on the dancefloor. They can easily control the volume of the music for playing during dining or other quieter parts of your reception. The Instigators can also take on the role of MC for your event. With soul, groove, musicianship and enthusiasm, the Instigators guarantee all will have a good time!
The Instigators are a group of four experienced musicians, two guitars, bass, and drums, who joined together with the goal of bringing good-times and fun, combined with excellent musicianship and superb vocals, to the stages of Austin and central Texas, their hometown area. The band promotes it’s Texas’ roots with a style of music it calls “Classic Texas Tunes”. With a combination of rock n’ roll, country, blues-rock, reggae, pop, and classic rock, the band pleases all varieties of audiences while retaining its Texas flavor.
The four members: Mark Edson, lead vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, Glenn Gonsoulin, lead vocals and electric guitar, Larry Schram, lead vocals and bass guitar, and Keith Newberry, drums and vocals, have played and traveled many years throughout Texas and the nation. The players have worked previously with luminaries such as, Lloyd Maines, Jesse “guitar” Taylor, Reese Wynans, Danny Barres, The Move, Bad Rodeo, the Jeff Haney Band, Johnny Dee and the Rocket 88’s, the Lotions, Eric Johnson, James Brown, and Freddy King, to name a few.
