Welcome to Holman Ranch. Situated on four hundred acres in sunny Carmel Valley, this historic early California hacienda was built in 1928 and retains its old-fashioned charm today. As you will see in the enclosed information, the ranch provides a variety of settings for any special and memorable occasion.
Please consider this an invitation to visit Holman Ranch at your earliest convenience. There is nothing like a personal visit to see the beauty of the Ranch and all it can offer you and your guests on your special day.
See first-hand the flowers in bloom, the vastness of the lawn and gardens, and the warmth of the early California hacienda house with its many interesting antique filled rooms. All are open to you and your guests. It is most definitely a place for celebrating. The romantic setting and the charm of the gardens and patios make this a perfect site for weddings and other festive occasions.
Anything and everything is possible here. Just Imagine.
Perfect venue! First class service, first class view, all round it met our high expectations in every way. If you want a beautiful outdoor wedding, then this is definitely a great place for that. We loved the fact that it was completely private to our party (ie- no other guests or tourists around).
Holman Ranch is a diamond above a hill. A place that each time you go to see it, it takes your breath away. A place that everytime someone asks you where you were married, you grin ear to ear and say "Holman Ranch". My husband and I looked high and low to find a place to accomodate our country style wedding and a place to accomodate our budget. It did it all for us. The Holman staff are ones that become your friends. They are friendly and detailed. They work with you and listen to everything you need or want. Anyone who gets married here, will have a lifetime of memories and everyone will be a little green with envy.
I can't say enough good things about Holman. I've been to two weddings at Holman Ranch. I attended the first wedding by myself as a guest. Attending a wedding by yourself, when you don't know anyone but the bride, can be dreadful, but I had such a wonderful time at Holman. I was able to explore the interiors of the ranch: the stately main room, the lovely courtyard, the views from the lawns. I had a wonderful time just relaxing and soaking up the romantic environment and chatting with all the other guests doing the same.
My experience as a guest there was so perfect, I knew I wanted to have my wedding there. And last year, I did. My husband fell in love with the venue at first sight. Being from the peninsula area, we worried that our guests wouldn't dislike having to drive down to Carmel Valley, but knew they'd forget all that as soon as they arrived. It's just such a perfect setting. Both the scenery indoors and outdoors hold so much appeal, just being there is entertaining enough.
As for putting on a wedding (I had both my ceremony and reception here), it went flawlessly. Hunter, the events coordinator, was always responsive, always cheerful, always helpful when it came to answering my many questions. The service she and her staff gave on the big day couldn't have been more effective, accommodating or efficient and was always friendly. Holman Ranch, along with my caterer (Bird of Paradise, whom I highly recommend) created a day that actually exceeded my expectations (and what bride doesn't have HIGH expectations for her wedding day?)
