Powel Crosley built the Florida winter home for his wife Gwendolyn in 1929. The two and one-half story Mediterranean mansion was built in the southwest corner of Bradenton on a 60 acre parcel of land on Sarasota Bay adjacent to the John Ringling Estate. The 11,000 square foot home has 21 rooms, 10 baths, and an adjacent carriage house.
This venue was plucked out of our dreams. We were so happy with the way everything turned out. The grounds and views are amazing, the staff are so accommodating and our guests were blown away. Highly recommend.
This is the most beautiful piece of property on the Sarasota Bay. What an amazing place either inside or out! You should definitely take advantage of every inch of this Estate. The Estate gives your guests something to do in the down time as they are allowed to roam the grounds and view the home. The landscape is beautiful and you have so many options on setting up your ceremony/reception depending on what you are looking for. We couldn't resist using the back of the home for our backdrop of the wedding ceremony. The people at the Civic Center are extremely nice and always there to answer your questions!
