The Van Benthuysen- Elms Mansion is an 1869 National Historic Landmark and is one of the only special event facilities along St. Charles Avenue, in the Garden District. From the carved casings at the entrance, to the gold accented mahogany wainscoting of the Empire room, to the hand carved marble mantel of the Louis XVI room, your guests will be able to discover something interesting and beautiful in every room. In addition to the house, your guests will have access to nearly half an acre of formally landscaped gardens. There are dozens of fabulous locations for photographs both inside and outside the mansion.

Additionally, our cuisine has been praised as some of the best in the city. Our food is made here in our kitchen by our full-time chefs.

The Elms Mansion is a family owned business and is currently managed by the third generation of The Elms family. With over 35 years of event planning and catering experience, we are certain that your wedding day will be as joyous as it is memorable.
