Description
The Delaware Park Marcy Casino (originally built as a boathouse on Hoyt Lake) has been altered dramatically since its creation in 1874 by Frederick Law Olmsted’s partner, Calvert Vaux. These changes include an enlargement to accommodate its many visitors in 1885, a devastating fire in 1900, a rebuilding for the 1901 Pan-American Exposition, an alteration in 1961 and its restoration to a simpler style favoring the tastes of Olmsted and Vaux in 1990. Located in Delaware Park, the Casino is a perfect historic location for rehearsal dinners, showers, weddings, banquets, cocktail parties and more!
