We had our reception catered by spiro's (spirosrestaurant.com) which was incredible and not that pricey compared to others I looked at. Photography was done by viewplus photo which was also fantastic (www.viewplusweddings.net. Had ceremony at Piper Palm House. It was ok. Goood luck¡
A GREAT vendor for flowers is the Flower Patch in Festus. He's a little out of the way, but he does a wonderful job, and is very reasonably priced. I have attached a photo of my flowers and my bridesmaids flowers(copyright by Cary Klein Photography). He did exactly what I wanted for less than half the cost of what others had quoted. All of my flowers were perfect, and were waiting at the church (in downtown St. Louis) upon my arrival. Good luck! That was the weekend of my wedding in 2008 (May 31st)!
Oops...I meant www.viewplusphoto.net.
try mcarthur's for cake. i don't even like cake, and this was DELICIOUS.
We used Rich West (RW designs) for our flowers and McArthur's for our cake. We printed our own save the date, invitations and programs.
You can't beat Hi Ho Helio for great selection of invitaions and professionalism. The owner, Ellen, is amazing to work with. They are located in Creve Coeur on Ballas just south of Olive. Be sure to go to Cuisine D'art in the same plaza for a nice lunch, too.
We are getting our cake from Matthew Rice, the pastry chef at Niche restaurant. Amazing red velvet cake!! We're still trying to decide on flowers - its between Wildflowers and Kenary Park.
Thanks for the input, girls! Keep those recommendations coming. ;) I am really trying to zero in on a DJ. My key concern is that the DJ be able to work the room and is able to get people out of their seats and on to the dance floor. We have a unique dance floor configuration, and we'll need him/her to help guests migrate over to the dance area...and keep them there. Any ideas?
Rick Paul, the owner of RPM Music is a great DJ who comes with "motivators" and really puts on a great party. They don't have a website but I'm sure you could call and ask to see a dvd of one of their parties. Ask if they would let you stop in on one of their events to check them out. Good luck.
