Cartagena de Indias is a very special hotel rooftop, in my opinion one of the nicest. If you are contemplating outdoor ceremony, "baluarte San Farncisco " has beautiful views and can accommodate weddings. I too got married in Cartagena in March, best time for outdoor weddings. Hope this helps!
I too am getting married in Cartagena and we are looking at a rooftop for our ceremony. If you give me your email address, I can send you the list my wedding planner sent me.
One of my friends had her wedding at Casablanca BB Hotel, the place is amazing for ceremony and Party, check out her Blog at:

I got married at the Casablanca hotel boutique. It is one of the most beautiful and the staff is very nice. We did the ceremony in the reception and the party on the terrace!
Do you know approximately how many people fit on that terrace?
Up to 60, i think, we were 35, we had a lot of space!
Congrats! if I am not mistaken Hotel Monterrey, which is outside the old city, has a terrace looking at the Old City by the Clock tower area.
My wedding is in May 2013 and we have Casa Pestagua reserved for the family. My worry is the heat in MAY!! We are thinking of having it by the Murallas in front of Hotel Charleston outside. Below is their information. I called and they asked to email them with all the details needed for the reception. Is anyone using a wedding planner? I should probably get one but not sure.
Hi, we got married this past May. We thought of doing it in Baluarte San Ignacio, however we ended up having our wedding in Casa Pombo. We are so glad we changed our minds:
1. It is not easy to get a permit to celebrate an event in this Baluarte ( you get the permit w the city hall)
2. Another couple had a party there the wknd before us. What I was able to peeked looks very nice!! but it was very humid & hot that night!!
3. Our wedding planner kept an eye on the weather for us, and May seems to be a rainy month. On our wedding night rained, so being in a indoor (w outdoor patio) with ac (we rented a few fans as well) was jus perfect!!
If you decide to have your wedding in las murallas, I am sure it will look very nice!! However, after what I mentioned before maybe you want to look into renting tents and fans, just in case ;)
If you are thinking in getting a wedding planner, I can recommend you my wp. She & her team did a great job!!. Her name is Catalina Angulo from the Eleganza team [email protected]
Good luck & have fun :)
Hi, I am also looking for rooftops for the non-religious ceremony. I am doing the reception at a colonial house that does not have room for the ceremony. So far, I have only found the terrace of the Torre del Reloj but I didn't really like the entrance (it was a bit dirty and stairs were not very safe for older guests). Could you let me know what other venues you find? Did you hear back from the Movich Hotel on estimates? I've been contacting them in the last two weeks but they never get back to me (which unfortunately is nothing new with Colombian vendors) :(
