Check out my reviews of Ft. Zachary Taylor -- it's the state park in Key West. It's gotta be the cheapest, most beautiful wedding venue ever! They offer to do a lot of the stuff for you, in terms of flowers, officiant, etc but in my experience it was much cheaper to arrange these things yourself.
I am getting married in Key West Nov 11, 2012. Booked the beach at the Hyatt. $1500 for the hour for sunset. expensive but I didn't want to get married on any public beaches where anybody could stand there and watch you. Too much potential for background distractions. Then walking a few blocks to the Rooftop Cafe for dinner (reserved the rooftop portion). Then trolley tour for 1 hour. Then going to Michaels restaurtant for desserts and drinks to end the evening. Can't give you reviews as of yet but so far I am VERY happy with my venue and restaurants. good luck
We got married on Smathers Beach for free on 4-28-12. We hired an officiant and photographer for $200. We used Old Town Trolley's and they were there to transport us to The Commodore Restaurant for our reception dinner. Awesome food and the trolley ride was fun! On our wedding night and the following night, we stayed at the Hyatt Resort and Spa but it was really expensive and not worth it (almost 1,000 for 2 nights!). The only thing good about that hotel is it is a great place for pictures. I loved the Hyatt Sunset Harbor during our first 2 days in Key West. It was cheap and nice enouph.I highly recommend the Commodore Restaurant and the Trolley. Careful of wind with your veil and your guests hair during wedding pictures. Some of ours looked silly.
For the flowers, you will want to call ahead if you are going to pick out your own. Also, plan ahead if you are going to have your dress steammed and your grooms clothes pressed. The Hyatt said they did it, but that was not true.
We got married in Key West on April 20th this year at Smathers Beach and it was free! We hired Weddings to Go Key West as our coordinators; Ray and Eileen were fantastic!! They offer many packages… the one we chose was similar to their “original package” and also included the total beach décor (picture attached). Eileen would get back to me within hours – sometimes minutes of emailing her. Their fees include all set up and breakdown of all the beach décor so you don’t have to worry about it – worth every penny! They also are good at keeping the outside people out of the ceremony and pictures etc. so you aren’t worrying about that either.
We used Old Town Trolley for transportation. We had them pick our guests up at the Inn at Key West (where the reception was) brought them to the beach, then back to the Inn after the ceremony. Tammy was also great… Their prices were reasonable too... they do an hourly or per person rate, whichever is cheaper.
We had the reception at the Inn at Key West in their open air café. We had a blast! It was perfect for what we did. Sandy Black is the event person there and she was great! I will say sometimes she took a while to get back to me. The open bar is done with the Inn because they have the cabana bar right outside the café. We hired Great Events Catering and did a cocktail reception… They food was delicious. We also had Cakes by Karol do our cake – coconut cake with key lime filling, SO good!
We invited about 70 people and ended up having about 35. I know I just wrote a novel lol Hope this info helps :)
We also stayed at the Inn at Key West, and it was BY FAR the best deal. Fairly inexpensive rooms with beautiful decor and views. Their pool is amazing. We held the reception at Michaels and were blown away by the quality and taste.
We got married outdoors at the Gardens Hotel in Key West and the setting was beautiful. We had the cocktail hour there and then took pedicabs down the block to the Marquesa for an amazing dinner. Michael at conchconcierge.com helped organize everything and was very helpful and reasonable. Tony Scullin took beautiful pictures and is charming. Croissants de France made a delicious and beautiful cake and was very reasonable for a small party. Congratulations!

I got married at the Hyatt in Key West at 601 Front Street on May 15, 2012. They have two options for the ceremony location: private beach or dock. I chose the dock because I wanted to wear heels with my dress. We were very pleased with the service, quality, and price at the Hyatt. Contact me if you have questions or would like more info.
we got married 11.11.11 at the Marriott Beachside. I cannot say enough about this venue. it was everything we dreamed of. Used their private beach at sunset, had cocktail hour on the beach, dinner and dancing followed on their terrace, even had a farewell brunch the next day. Catering was included. Didn't need a lot of decorations as the location was beautiful enough. The wedding coordinator was fantastic and answered any and all questions throughout the planning process. They have an excellent shuttle service that runs every hour, so no need for a car. Price for the entire wedding: $15000 - that included our rings, photographer, videographer, flowers, room at the Marriott for a week, and flight to Key West, plus Bahamas honeymoon. We got married Smathers Beach on 5/26/12 - no charge to use it but you have to be flexible. We originally wanted to get married at Stairway 11 but someone was there so we moved down to Stairway 10 - which ended up being perfect! We used Geri LaGotta @ I Do Weddings - she has different packages to choose from.
We used Old Town Trolley to transport our guests from the beach to our reception site: Dante's - 951 Caroline St. I HIGHLY recommend them for your reception - Excellent service and food. All of our guests said it's the best wedding food they've ever had! We worked with Nicole and she is absolutely fantastic!
Officiant - $250 ($50 of this was rehearsal cost)
Trolley - $250 for 1 hour of use (they did 2 loops for us since it only holds 40 people
Food at Reception - $1447
Drinks at Reception - $1498
Total Reception with tax & tip = $3874
Worth every penny!
