Wedding Questions

A colonial wedding-at the Keeler Tavern? or Roger Sherman? Suggestions?

I am from Ridgefield Ct, though I currently live and work in the DC area. In memory of my Dad, I would like to return to CT to have my wedding. I grew up in a colonial area and I was looking for a colonial aesthetic for the event, though it is absolutely not a requirement. Has anyone been to a wedding at the Keeler tavern? Or the Roger Sherman Inn? I am intimidated by the Keeler because it comes with NOTHING, and if it rains we are in trouble. Also, no chairs are allowed for the ceremony. It does, however, have the look I really love and it is in the town of my childhood. Are there any other places I should be looking?
Thanks so much!

Hi Ashley -
I definitely think theat you should take a look at the Kaeeler Tavern, especially in memory of your father. Ask questions and see if you can talk to past brides to see what they did to address some of your concerns. I would investigate the location though. Especially if you feel that it will have the tone and feel for the vision you are trying to capture. Good luck!

I'm glad to see that many people are taking the opportunity to have a big wedding. It's like the old days)) I myself found a bride recently. Here is a site that helped me to do this - But we will have to wait a little longer because she needs to complete the paperwork and come to me.
