I love cocktail receptions. It gives the guest a chance to mingle and socialize more than a sit down dinner. But they both have their benefits. If you are not much of a partier than I would go with a cocktail reception with a live band. If I could be any assistance to you, please feel free to contact myself at [email protected] You may visit my website as well at www.trendzeventplanning.com.
Congratulations on your engagement:)
We are having a cocktail reception, I don't anticipate it being any shorter however than the more traditional "sit down". We are having an evening ceremony at our venue and the reception will begin immediatley after with a champagne toast, some light snacks and some great entertainment for us to enjoy with our guests. Our reason for choosing this style was to keep it informal and have the guests mix and mingle. Whatever you decide it is your day - make it what you two want and enjoy - that's what we're hoping for!!!
