With the time of year and location of your wedding, you might want to book a hotel downtown St Pete. If your guests include kids, teens and adults, downtown has things to do that everyone can walk to for all ages. Otherwise, book in advance because Jan is prime time. Middle price for a nice place you might try the TradeWinds.

There are plenty of hotels on St Pete Beach to suit every taste and budget.
If you want something with a bit of character, check out www.innonbeach.com (speak to Sheila and tell her Jeff from Simple Weddings referred you and she will take great care of you!)
If you want "upscale", check out the Don Cesar.
For mid-range beach resorts, my favorites are the Tradewinds Island Grand and the Sirata.
And for a "home away from home" feel, with kitchens and living rooms in every suite, check out the Residence Inn on Treasure Island.
We are actually members of a program where you can get pretty good discounts on these last few. Check out the "Florida Hotel Discounts" section at the bottom of our home page at www.SimpleWeddingsFlorida.com!
And of course, good luck with your wedding plans!!!
It depends on how much you are willing to pay, or how much your guests can afford. There is anything from the Don Cesar to the Best Western.
Consider The Doubletree Beach Resort, it's clean, the service is amazing, and the views can't be beat! It's also pretty quiet at night, so you can enjoy the waves crashing and the birds, rather than the people, squawking at night!
There are so many options on St. Pete Beach. Like others have said it really depends on how much you want to spend. We have enjoyed staying a the Sirata in the past, but January can be a high season. Another thing to think about is, do you want a really quiet relaxing place or a hotel with a lot of activity and beach bars?
Congratulation on your upcoming wedding!
I work for the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront which is in downtown St. Pete. If you are interested in a downtown property, this is the place to be. We are located near restaurants, museums and shopping area. It is all within walking distance. Please contact me if you are interested in rates for your out of town guests or if you need a place for a rehearsal dinner. I can be reached at [email protected] Our website is www.stpetersburg.hilton.com.
I definitely agree with [email protected] - The Doubletree Beach Resort has some reasonable options and is in a beautiful location. http://doubletreebeachresort.com/ Also check out the Trade Winds Resort. The Grand Plaza is really nice and at the center of the beach so you are within walking distance of many activities and beach shops. Please feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] if there is anything I can help with or if you need some additional ideas.
Sincerely,
Carla
