We had a similar budget for our wedding. We actually got married on the beach at South Inlet Park, which is a public park where the ocean meets the intercostal. It was beautiful. We reserved the pavillion for our friends to drink while we took pictures, and that reservation was $175, although I think you would be fine not to reserve it. South Inlet Park was perfect for a wedding and it was free! Instead of doing a big formal reception, we just went down to Deerfield Beach and went to the bars there. I'm thinking you want something more formal, but that was really fun and worked for us (and was very cheap).
As for florists, I used J Morgan, and my flowers were beautiful! She was also easy to work with and super nice. She kept her store open late for me to come pick up my flowers. I would highly recommend her. Her number is (561) 394-3591.
We used a Steel drum player for our wedding and he was fabulous. I'm not sure if you are interested in that, but we used RythmTrail Steel Drum Band 866-495-4522.
If you want to check out pictures of our wedding at South Inlet Park, you can see them on our photographer's website. (Our photographer was amazing!) It is www.maggiestolzberg.com Go to client proofs and click on Matt and Lisa Newlin. The ceremony and all of the pictures were at that park and I think they turned out great.
Good luck! And if you decide you need a different photographer, Maggie Stolzberg was more than amazing and I would recommend her in a heartbeat!
Hi - congrats and best of luck with everything, I am getting married this coming August, it hasn't been easy to plan it all but it is so much fun, so enjoy every minute of it. My recommendation is for the florist - Forero Flowers, contact: Claudia 561.789.0495, [email protected] - she is a direct flower distributor not an event florist so her prices are unbeatable, as I said I am not married yet, so I don't know how everything is going to look the day of, but the sample arrangement she did for me was amazing. Also, not sure if you are getting married at a church but if you do, shop around for churches as well, sadly they are a business too and their fees and "voluntary tips" can add up quickly. Hope this helps. Sandy
Thank you sooooo much for the advice!
