We had our wedding in St. Louis (where my wife is from) and it was a week will never forget. Our out of town guests LOVED exploring because there is SO much to do... especially the museums and Zoo. I even wouldn't hesitate moving there! I wish I had more time to write but don't hesitate to have it there. It is a city that has a LOT to offer. More pics at http://tinyurl.com/29gqul8 Good luck! PS Our wedding rehearsal was at Schlafly Brewery and wedding/reception was at "Windows Off Washington"
A lot of people have their wedding reception at WOW, but given the historic nature of our chapel (Graham chapel at Wash U), we were looking for something a bit more gothic in it's architecture. The 9th Street Abbey was fantastic. If it's not raining (which it unfortunately was on our wedding day), you have access to the outdoor patio, which is lovely. The inside is also interesting, and while the ceiling was in need of some repainting, the photographs gave nothing away. I was very impressed with the food. Delicious! The appetizer selection was amazing. Customer service was excellent as well. Shawna just made everything so easy! She gave recommendations to keep costs down, and never tried to oversell anything. My family and I had a great experience with 9th Street, and I would definitely recommend them.
Oops. You were looking for details on 9th Street Abbey. Sorry, I thought you meant Saint Louis in general. Anyhow, good luck! :-)
9th Street Abbey is a great venue for events.
It can double up as a ceremony AND reception site.
They can transform the room with ease.
