my wife and i had our rehearsal dinner at Andiamo on Michigan avenue in Dearborn. i can't remember the cost exactly but it was reasonable and they had a private room for 50+ people. we also considered Cheli's Chili Bar in downtown Dearborn (they have a private room as well). good luck!

We had our rehearsal dinner at a restaurant called Dario's it's on Ford RD. They have a private room and it was very reasonably priced.

Thanks for the suggestions! I will look into both. I sort of wish we could do catering from the Bone Yard or something similar, but we just don't have the room indoors. Considering that it is a November evening, I certainly cannot plan on having anything in my parents' backyard! Thanks again. :-)

My favorite restaurant in Dearborn is Mexican Fiesta on Ford Rd. It's pretty informal, cheap and the food is great! Not sure if you'd consider it classy enough for a rehearsal dinner, but I think they do have separate rooms. Certainly worth a phone call over there!

We have been at Ciao for rehearsal dinners in Dearborn Michigan. It is a lovely Italian restaurant and beautiful interior and service.
For something truly unique, you could have brunch at the Henry Ford Estate, for about 15. per person. This beautiful building is situated with gardens, river, waterfall, and beautiful in November too (inside and out). The entire first floor of the estate is available to tour too.
You will be close to the Big Fish Restaurants and all the wonderful Restaurants at the Fairlane Center and Hyatt too (Gulio & Sons and more casual fare too). These locations are fairly easy to find.

Nico & Vali, in Plymouth, is where we are having our RD. The food is awesome, prices are extremely reasonable, service outstanding, desserts imported or from the Cheesecake Factory...the owner, Paul, is allowing us to use the entire restaurant. We are also hiring a classical guitarist.
It's the best Italian food I've had, next to Tiramisu in Northville. Better than Bravo, Andiamo...hands down.
