You are getting married in 3 months and want to get married in La Jolla? Wow, that is quick since it often takes many months to reserve great locations. I would try the La Jolla's Women's Club, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Wedding Bowl, and the Darlingtorn House to start. Good luck!
I too am getting married in San Diego area and live in Az. We are only making one more trip there til wedding in Oct. I have found the best place for out of town brides. Bahia Resort in Mission Bay. I know its not La Jolla but its cheaper then there, they provide beach wedding, ball room reception, cake, chair covers, arch, flowers, food, etc. Easy when you dont have the time to find all the vendors!
time is of the essence. It's hard to get objective advice when you talk to hotels and venues. We have a long list of Preferred Venues you can sort through, check availability with the freedom to really explore all your options. June 5th is close but we may have options and vendor services that would fit in one contract plus the venue. www.theabbeycatering.com offers preferred venue discounts for many San Diego venues, including La Jolla with Specialist for each Venue and full service vendor packages that can help you finish your planning in short order. I agree with adriennejub about the Women's Club and the Darlington House, we toured both of those venues last year and they were really nice. However, they tend to book up at least a year in advance. Another disadvantage to getting married in La Jolla is that there is no parking anywhere. So you have to rent out space and a valet service, it really adds up to the cost.
Is there anyway you can move your wedding to a later time to give yourself more time to plan and prepare?
