If you want to stay in the Columbia, Lexington area, try Millstone off Bluff Road, Botanical Gardens, Springdale House...off Platt Springs Rd, River Road/Jasmine House in Irmo, Buckridge Plantation near Orangeburg, Seibels House, Downtown Columbia.

Try Mitchell House and Gardens in Lexington or my fav Saluda Shoals in Columbia. They have an outdoor gazebo next to their reception center. They are also one of the very few that allow you to have an outside caterer. This is where I have booked my reception, they are very affordable and the staff is amazingly curteous.

Yes, Saluda Shoals is a great place for an outdoor Ceremony. Reasonably priced. Mitchell House would be a great location for an April Reception also. There's another facility in Lexington, 403 No Lake. Good Luck!
