A Hotel in Calgary that allows outside wine?

My fiancee, Kristina and I are a long way off from the wedding but we want to get a head start on the planning. We want the place sorted as soon as possible so we can get the invitations out (almost all of my family has to travel from New Zealand).

Our big decider on a place is whether or not we are allowed to buy wine and pay a corkage fee. The only one that allows wine to be brought in so far is the Four Points by the Sheraton. We would like some more to compare as the Sheraton's catering package is kind of expensive.

Can anyone help please?

Delta South. I believe the corkage fee for wine alone is in the vicinity of $3.00

I am not too sure what the 4 points charges and what location you are interested in but you may want to check out hotel arts. They put on a beautiful wedding and allow outside wine. I am not to sure on charges etc. best of luck

At the Executive Royal Inn - North Calgary, we have corkage for wine only at $3.00 per legal adult at the party, and full corkage at $9.50 plus a $15.00 per hour per bartender charge. Most hotels are allowing it now, although it may not be written in their Catering Packages. Hope this helps!

My husband and I went with The Carriage House Inn as well and were VERY happy with the service and the food (including our wedding cake) was delicious!

We had our wedding at the Delta South in 2008. Everyhing was great. We paid $11.00 per person for corkage fee. This was the average price all over Calgary. You can bring in you own wine and liquor there. Another good one is the Best Western Port O Call. I think there corkage fee is $9.00 but not sure. There also by the airport and its a beautiful hotel. The food is also great! Good luck

We had our wedding at Al Azhar Shrine Centre in bowness. It is by the river, so we had an outdoor ceremony and then reception in the hall. We thought it was pretty reasonable for Calgary and the food was really good. They do corkage as well. Here's a link:

Not sure if you're open to other venues, but I'm getting married at Shawnee Slopes Golf Course in the SW and they allow you to bring your own wine in.

Most hotels & Golf Courses in Calgary allow you to bring your own wine and of course will charge corkage anywhere between $3.oo to $12.00 as some do consider it under the alcohol corkage. Be sure to get your quotes in writing so there is no unexpected surprises which has happened to some of my former clients in the past.Good luck & Happy planning for your big day.
