I used solo dia, the proprietors name is Marcia, she is based in burnaby . She designed
them specifically for us. We were really happy with the way they turned out.
Our invite was a photograph with us on it, created ourselves in a photo editting software.
I have recently received an invite from a friend & she used a kit. It looks super cute. Another friend used a pre-made kit for her engagement invites & embellished with a few stick on jewels. Super pretty! Will take a pic & upload.
If going w/Michaels, then get everyone you know on the lookout for Michaels coupons, they're 40% off towards one item & usually 1 per person. Go in w/your friends, each person has a coupon & one kit, saves you money.
Did that for a friend's wedding favour to save her costs. Did that with just about anything I needed for our wedding.

Always have admired her work, really pretty, great variety & it's DIY with a twist. She creates the template and then you find the paper, print it out & assemble it. The template pkg includes files to create invites, rsvp cards, menu, program, table seat chart cards, table numbers, etc. Paper Poet in New West is a great place for paper. Unopened pkgs can be returned, the more you buy, the more you save.
Congratulations on your wedding! Invitations were the hardest part for us, as I have been a bit... well lets just say picky lol. After months of searching (If you haven't been to myjeanm.com try them!) I finally decided to buy a kit and just do it myself. I bought my invites in packages of 25 from Walmart in Bellingham and it was the best money I've ever spent! I am so happy with them.
For $29.99 per box I got
- 25 pocket folders
- 25 invitation mats
- 25 sets of 3 enclosure cards
- 25 mailing envelopes
- 25 rsvp envelopes
- 25 ribbons to seal invite shut
They are super cute - and only cost me just under $300 including printing and mailing!
I printed them off at work - I work at the Office Depot in Surrey. If you decide to go the DIY route and need help with printing stop by and let me know!
Office Depot Newton - 7488 King George Hwy. (604) 543-7816. Just ask for the Copy and Print Centre!
Riversowide - your invite looks fantastic!!!
Hey thanks for your advice!! I went to Michaels and found some really cute invitations on clearance - super pleased!! I'm doing it myself which should be interesting:) Thanks so much - I might actually come to your store and have them printed when the time comes. Really appreciate it!
