Mine was 11/15/08. For the DJ-I used Wesley Works and I couldn't have asked for any better!!! They also do Video, but I opted out of that. For florists, I know there's a place in Hellertown that does gorgeous work-I just didn't like the woman's attitude at first... Depends on your budget.
One thing to think about... Please discuss parking issues with the people at Hotel B since the Christkindlemardt is going on at that time. Also, you will have Christmas decorations there-if this bothers you, well...
Good luck and congratulations!! Oh! Also, The servers and everyone there was terrific! We can't rave enough about our reception (Mural Room) and the food was fabulous-we just did normal stuff-mid ranged alcohol.
My daughter just got married there in December - was amazing and everyone thought so - Had Haven Hill as photographers, Uptown Band (Reading) they were so awesome - got the party going. Had mugs with monogram and poem - hot chocolate bar - hotel allowed cookies to be brought in for it. Added shrimp, roast beef carving & brie to cocktail hour - needed it. Band played downstairs while the cocktail hour was going on. Hotel B was already so decorated. Bought centerpieces after Christmas - see pics - saved alot!
Thanks for replying. very nice wedding. I chosen reception to be at 6pm but I think I like the hr they choose I think. Im worried about photos not turning out right. I like the programs or are they invitions? Can you tell me how they did it? I like the mugs idea. Can you maybe send me a photo?
I had Haven Hill, too, for photography! Lisa was terrific!
Any other details you would care to share regarding Hotel Bethlehem, rehearsal dinner, florist, baker, etc would be greatly appreciated.
our RD was at Main Street Depot-as it was nearby, but we had a small group-maybe 20 people. They were great there... Our baker was Village Bake Shoppe, but I had a friend who got her cake at Weis/Kings and it was just as good!...
Our florist was Garden of Eden. the flowers were gorgeous, but not what I thought... I would have gotten one made up prior to make sure I got what I wanted...
Hair-LOVED LOVED LOVED!!! American Hairlines... LOVE them! I did a preview with 2 places and they were great! Make your appt early for that-and def bring pics w you for your trial.
Our cake was from Weis (Tilghman St) - 4 layers - 2 with choc mousse / 2with raspberry filling - very reasonable. 1/2 the price of bakeries - by the time the cake comes - everyone is full anyways!
One last comment - AmericanHairlines - the best! right down the block. Got flowers from Ross's flowers on Rt. 309 Orefield - beautiful 6 bridesmaids, 1 bride - boutineers - 5 guys / 2 fathers - 2 corsages -all under $500.
I have never been to a reception there, but I did get married in Bethlehem and would HIGHLY recommend Tim Miller Photography for your wedding. I know he has done lots of weddings there and would have great recommendations. We had night shots that turned out AWESOME! People think it was photoshopped, but it's Tim's expertise. If you are worried about pictures at night, choose him. I am sure he would show you some and our portrait that he did at night. We got it blown up to 20x26 and it hangs in our staircase. Beautiful! --Melissa Visco
I am less than 4 months from my wedding date so I will hopefully be able to provide you with some insights soon from Hotel Bethlehem! I also am going with Haven Hill for photography-Lisa is one of the few people who has from a very basic package to more elaborate ones. We have booked Holiday Sounds for the DJ.-Lori
