Are you planning on it just being the two of you? Or are you trying to have a wedding with lots of people? $2500 is a pretty tight budget for a wedding in Charleston.
I would suggest having the ceremony in a public park or somewhere like that with a low fee. Maybe a reception/dinner at a restaurant. Search around for a photographer who is just starting out and trying to build their portfolio - they will have lower fees. Find out what talents your friends and family have that they would be willing to help out with some aspects of the wedding (cake makers, musicians, officiants, etc). Do lots of DIY stuff - like invitations, flowers, other decorations. It can be tough to do a wedding on a tight budget, but if you get creative it can be done.
I agree. You could have a small 30-person wedding at Waterfront Park downtown Charleston, and then a nice dinner on the patio of Coast Bar and Grill for around $2500 total. Tell them Claire sent you! Good luck!
Yeah you can have a very nice wedding for around 2,500.00 Waterfront park is a great idea and you could pick any number of places for a reception downtown and squeeze in that budget. Good Luck!!

My husband and I are photographers and we travel to that area often to visit our GrandDaughter and Son. Contact us if you don't have a photographer yet and we'll see if we can coordinate something with you. Waterfront park is a BEAUTIFUL location, not sure about permits or anything but I know several in the area that may have ideas. Contact us thru our site, tell me where your at at what you still need. All the best. Attached photo is on along waterfront park, I have a few more I can send to show you other areas of that park. Laura - www.AkiPhotography.com
