Can you have dancing at an afternoon reception?

We are thinking of an early wedding then a lunch reception. I still want that special father daughter and first dance. Does this sound plausible or just kinds odd? I don't want to break completely from tradition but also not wanting that nighttime reception due to cost. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated!
