Casa Conde de pestagua was the venue for my wedding in 2012 and I could not have asked for anything better. We rented the house for 5 days so it was also our hotel. There are 12 bedrooms so the cost was easily split among 28 people. The cost at that time was 26 million pesos for 5 nights (about 185 thousand pesos per night per person) and we used the house for the venue of the wedding without extra costs. Our wedding had 150 guests and there was plenty of room. The people at the house were very nice and provided an outstanding service at all times.
Hope it helps and congratulations on your wedding!
Hi, you can call Diana Rosales (57)318-3660447 or write to her [email protected]pestagua.com it is a very good alternative in the Old City. The capacity is much much more than 80 (I'd say around 150-200 or perhaps more) and they charge a flat fee which includes rooms that can accommodate a significant ammount of your guests. Diana can surely give you the pricing info.
Hi! Thanks for the great feedback. Definitely sounds like a good deal when you can use as a hotel for many of the guests. As a follow up question, how far in advance did you have to reserve this venue?
You have to give a large deposit once you decide your wedding date. I think it was 70% or so. Depending on when your wedding date will be, the sooner the better. You want to have that venue booked and have the rest of the time to do the rest in my opinion. Having booked Casa Pestagua for my wedding was a big relief to know that was already set.
Capacity is for at least 200 guests at Casa Conde. Everything really depends on total guest count, except the cost of the house will be a general rate no matter the # of guests.
Great! Thanks for the help. I guess I just realized there is a Casa Conde de Pestagua and a Casa Pestagua as I see some references to Conde vs. Pestagua (Both beautiful!)
Will definitely look into both although Casa Conde de Pestagua is the one I'm most interested in. Thanks again!
yes, there is also Casa Pombo adjacent to Pestagua. I got quotes for all of them but I loved them all.
The sooner the better. I reserved it a year in advance.
I'm getting married in January 2016. We both looked at Casa Conde de Pestagua & Hotel Boutique Casa Pestagua which are practically next to each other. We decided to go with the hotel simply because my fiancé's family is paying for their stay and we thought the room distribution of the hotel was a little better. Yes, your deposit will have to be 70% of the total.
They are both beautiful Venues! Casa Conde is a little bigger than the Hotel.
To have your wedding there you are required to rent the entire venue for 2 night which is what they call "Full House".
Below is the approximate cost of each. They will tell you the rates go up every year which makes sense looking at the cost from the bride who commented above from 2012. I suggest you negotiate 10-15% off each additional night if you are looking into getting a Full House for more than 2 days.
These were the rates given to me this past year in January for 2015 for two nights.
Casa Conde De Pestagua:$15,600,000.00COP for (2 nights)= US $5,134.96
12 Bedrooms Sleeps 28 people
Hotel Casa Pestagua: $18,700,000.00COP for(2 nights)= US $6,155.37
11 Bedrooms Sleeps 22 people
Casa Pombo but we were looking at over 100 guests therefore it would be to tight as the party has to be in the room upstairs.
P.S. It all depends on the time of year you are planning on getting married but January & February are very busy. We reserved with about 11 months in advance and it took us about a month to confirm an available date. Good Luck!!!
Casa Conde de Pestagua is about USD$6000 (2 nights) for weddings in 2017. It's going up pretty fast every year...
Im getting married in a week at Casa Pestagua. Its a beautiful hotel, but yes book it now because next year the price will go up. I luckily got the 2015 rate for this year because I booked a year in advance.
Feb is the best month, or Jan like the person mentioned above. Its windier and less humid as well.
I think you should base the house you pick on the # of guests staying the night and the # of guests you will have. I have 90 guests so Casa Pestagua suited me well. Otherwise I'd of gone with Casa Conde. Casa Pombo i nice but for a smaller party and in the humid months so you can be inside.
There are two other beautiful houses, I really liked Casa 1537 and Casa Estrella as well. http://www.casa1537.com/?page=inicio.
The hotel is 26,900,000 for next year. I can't afford it :(
Hi. For how many nights was this quote given? Just 2? Thanks!
Yes. 2 nights.
They told me that for this year is $20,300,000 but next year they increase it. I replied to them that I was not expecting an increase of 32% I think that 10% increase is fair. I mean my salary only increased by 5% lol
That's crazy pricing from one year to the next.
Thanks for all the great feedback! I had another question, we have have to push our wedding to the end of August or beginning or September, wish I could make January or February work but it won't.
Any comments on weather for end of August / beginning of September? Are those rainy months?
Weather from August to November is more rainy.. if you can manage December it is less likely to rain.
Wow! 32% increase on a venue price is a bit much!!!
It sounds like the inflation is a combination of the strong dollar + annual increase.
They are probably taking a little advantage as well.
As for the weather we initially wanted November, they really discouraged us because of the rain. .
I am from Miami, we went in October, at it was insanely Hot to the point it was very uncomfortable.
We finally changed our date to the end of January and it was perfect, not too hot.
If you really want August, you may just want to consider an indoor venue with air conditioning incase it rains and it's really
Can anyone tell me if they received any 2016 rates to rent out the full house for Hotel Casa Pestagua? I love the hotel for our wedding, but I just received a quote for May 2017 that states it is $13,897,000 per night to rent it out (which would be nearly $28 million for 2 nights). That seems significantly more than the quotes people received in 2015.
It depends how many nights you want to stay. I did Friday to Sunday and it was $7,000 for the entire house. We stayed at the Morros Condos the rest of our stay, which was at least another 5 days.
The price given to you seems to be high, so I assume you inquired about at least 6 nights?
