Well, Long Beach isn't quite Orange County, but you should check out La Palapa at the base of the Belmont Shore Pier (Long Beach). I had my wedding in their upstairs reception area (called the Del Mar Room), but have heard a lot of people have receptions downstairs in the restaurant. The food is great and the area/ambiance is amazing!
Sorry, we moved this post to Long Beach as we're not able to contact couples in a whole county, just cities. Is there a better city to represent Orange County?
If you want to narrow down orange it's better to list Anaheim or Fullerton.
There are quite a few restaurants out here that would be nice.
1) The Napa Rose -found at the Grand California Hotel has a private dining area that is beautiful. There is a fire place and doors that step out onto a patio. The food is that of the Napa/ Sonoma region of California. Service is excellent and very attentive.
2) There is a beautiful French restaurant in Downtown Fullerton called The Celler.
3) if you're looking more for the Beach area- say Laguna you can try a place in the "pepper tree lane" area , it recently changed hands and believe it is now called Watermarc. It's a beautiful little setting especially at night with a little corridor reminescent of a little side street in western Europe. There is also a small standing room only bar/ tavern and the most fantastic chocolaterie. It would be a great place for pictures as well.
- these are just a few that I would recomend. If you'd like to contact me further e-mail me @ [email protected]
Ok, great. Moving this topic to Anaheim. Thanks :)
We had our reception of 10 people at the Riveria at the Fireside in Westminster and it was amazing. The service was amazing and the food was great. We brought our own cake from Rossmoor Pastries and I still cannot imagine a more perfect evening.
My husband and I got married in Long Beach January of last year and had our rehearsal dinner at L'Opera Restaurant on Pine. They have a lovely private event space downstairs with room for smaller or larger parties (we had 20 people total at our dinner.) Very intimate and special, surrounded by wine and delicious food. Our guests are still talking about how great it was. I highly recommend you check it out.
We got married at Glassworks downtown. We used the rooftop for the ceremony and the 2nd floor for the reception (they also have space on the first floor). We, too, wanted to use our own caterer and bring in our own alcohol, and we used Chardeau's catering, which was wonderful. run 3 free online They are very willing and able to customize a menu based on your budget, and were fine with us providing our own alcohol for their bartenders to serve. (We used Adrienne and Co. in Jeffersonville for our cake, which was one of the best decisions ever!) Good luck planning!
