We had a great DJ at our wedding, but I believe he moved to Yorkton soon after our wedding. I would still recommend the Danceland DJ's--they were professional, very quick to answer questions by phone or email, and their DJ had everyone dancing!!
We had a lot of concerns about this vendor's customer service skills--we found them very unprofessional. They produced a beautiful cake--but it wasn't the design I asked for or has discussed many times with them. They do not deliver. They are very expensive and they require a 50 %non-refundable deposit. They were not flexible or accomadating to their clients, like I would expect of a wedding vendor.
Ola is very creative, professional and accomadating. SHe lives in east end and does rentals for decorating. WE were very pleased with her recommendations and timely organization. She is eccentric, but knows what looks good. Her prices were reasonable. We didn't need to use the steamer for the linens--they were in great shape when we picked them up.
Wayne did a wonderful job of capturing our wedding day. He is professional, he kept us all relaxed and having a good time. He is an exeptional photographer.
We were very honored to have our wedding ceremony at such a beautiful and historical site. My husband is RCMP member therefore we were allowed to have it at the chapel. only members and possibly their close family (?) are approved to have ceremonies at the chapel. Make sure that if you have your wedding here to ask for the ceremony to be videotaped (I believe this is included--but we forget to do this).
St.Mary's had wonderful food and service. They supplied the napkins, tablecloths, skirting, wine glasses, etc for a reasonable cost. Corkage was cheap and we were allowed to bring in our own alcohol--big bonus if your family is anything like mine. only concerns were the size and appearance of washrooms, and some areas of hall were a little outdated. But the lighting, swag and backdrop behind the head table are included and very nice.
We booked many rooms through the Sask hotel and heard mostly positive comments. They did not offer any complimentary additions for the wedding couple like other hotels do. Our suite was very nice--but I would recommend not to book a very expensive hotel room unless you are staying in there for a couple nights. By the time you get back from the wedding and get ready for your day-after brunch you don't spend a lot of time in there. THis hotel is downtown, close to lots of restaurants and shopping.
