Our wedding in Puerto Vallarta was amazing and I recommend it to anyone who wants a destination wedding. It was a little more stressful then I first imagined getting everything put together from Colorado, but it was worth every second of it. PV will always be in our top 5 vacation destinations! You have both the beach and the mountains, crazy party town life and remote romantic get-a-way, and the weather was perfect. We advised our guests to be wary of locals as it seems everyone is trying to sell time-shares, but once you’re aware of that it is easy to tell them NO. I LOVE PV!!
Our wedding was at the Villa GarzaBlanca on 11/14/09 and was everything I ever dreamed. Our caterer Stewart Haverlack provided the most amazing chef and food which our guests are still talking about it. I HIGHLY recommend contacting Stewart to either cater your wedding/party or having your dinner at his restaurant. Most people don’t get to eat at their wedding but he ensured that a plate of appetizers were set aside for us, and they were WELL worth the wait!!!
Our wedding was at the Villa GarzaBlanca on 11/14/09 and was everything I ever dreamed. Our wedding coordinators Tamara Bradley de Morales and Patricia Romo were great to work with and helped ease my stressed mind. Everything went without a glitch and was beautiful! They ensured the decorations were perfect, the guests had food/drinks and knew where to go, and the music started when it was supposed to. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a stress free wedding!
Barceló was gorgeous! All the guests had a wonderful time and were never without a drink in hand! I had a few hang-ups in that I had called ahead to reserve tables for the rehearsal dinner – only to find out that restaurant wasn’t even open on the night we reserved! They also wanted to charge $15 a bag to have party favor bags delivered to each of our guests. We had 35 people staying at the resort so felt they should have been more accommodating, but it was a wonderful stay and once we were checked in had an excellent time. I would definitely stay there again.
We stayed at Casa Iguana a month prior to our wedding to check out PV and get all the arrangements done. It is a quant hotel which due to the season we had mostly to ourselves. The restaurant was not open, however I know the food is EXCELLENT as they are who catered our wedding a month later. The staff at Casa Iguana are great and extremely friendly. The hotel is not on the beach, but is only a short 7-8 minute walk.
