Everything turned out perfectly for the wedding! My husband and I have a huge connection to the beach, but we didn't want an informal wedding. The Plaza gave us the perfect way to have the wedding on the beach but still keep it formal. We were able to use their outside deck facing the ocean which gave us the beautiful ocean backdrop. If you're planning to have an outdoor wedding in FL, May is a great month to do it. It's not hurricane season yet, rainy season is over, and it's not so hot that the guests are going to feel like they're frying. The weather on our wedding day was picture perfect.
Kathy and the other 3 string musicians did a beautiful job at both the ceremony and the cocktail hour! We've been complimented many times on our choice of using them.
My dress was unique and stunning! The girls at the salon were so wonderfully helpful and my dress was even more beautiful than the sample I tried on! The only drawback is that it took 9.5 months from order date to the date it arrived at the salon.
The bridesmaid dresses were ordered from Something Blue. The dresses came in in a timely manner and were absolutely adorable! The staff was friendly and even went above and beyond to help one of my out of town bridesmaid's by altering her dress over night three days before the wedding! Fabulous boutique!
I can't say enough about Karla! Her personality is just as fantastic as her work. The portfolio she has on her web site speaks volumes!
We got a fantastic deal on our lighting! They are most definitely the best deal in town. My lighting looked beautiful. I had a monogrammed GOBO, 8 tiffany blue uplights, and 10 centerpiece lights.
Anne at Paradise Cheesecake created the most beautiful and delicious cake I could have imagined. We had three different flavors in our 5-tier cake and each flavor was incredible! It was another element in our wedding that the guests still haven't stopped talking about.
Tamuel was our DOC and did a fantastic job! She provided the names of vendors the entire time, sent me frequent timelines, and was there from the rehearsal to the wedding day.
Bryan was one of the absolute best vendors I hired for my wedding day. He's the owner of the company but also came as our DJ on the big day. He kept the party going, wasn't cheesy, and was so incredibly helpful during the planning procress. I used his services for videography and lighting as well.
The dance lessons were so much fun, but there's a lot of pressure to purchase more over prices classes. I would definitely do it again but feel that the prices are HUGELY jacked up.
Monica did our flowers and was SO wonderful! She took my dream floral scheme and made it happen on our budget - which I did not think was possible! She was so helpful, just like the rest of the girls there, and really came through on the wedding day! I could not have been happier with the bouqets and center pieces!
Sylvia at Paper Dance is INCREDIBLE! She's so bubbly and has a fabulous selection of invites! I gave her a brief description of the kind of invites I liked and she immediately turned to something that fit my dreams! I literally eneded up picking the very first invites she showed me - even though I poured over book after book! So many people told us that they knew the wedding was going to be stunning because the invites were just so pretty and elegant.
Julie at The Plaza was FANTASTIC! She answered all of our questions and really helped out on the day of. The Plaza was a dream for both the ceremony AND the reception. The staff was fantastic and the site was just beautiful!
