Our wedding in Virginia Beach was wonderful! Even though it was late February we were lucky to have some nice weather in the 60s, but even if it hadn't been it wouldn't have mattered. The location we chose for the reception, The Lesner Inn was gorgeous. All of our vendors were exceptional and we wouldn't have changed a thing.
Tom was an awesome DJ. He has tons of experience and really loves what he does and it comes through with him being extremely professional and giving us exactly what we wanted. He talked just the right amount - we didn't want a chatty DJ. Also, he played the list we gave him and given his knowledge played the music that got everyone, young & old dancing.
Jessica made our wedding cake and it was the most beautiful cake I had ever seen! Plus, it was so delicious! Her work was in the details and it really showed. She had met with us and made sure to go over every aspect of the cake so that we knew what we would get. I couldn't have been more pleased with our cake. I loved it!!
Amanda loves being a photographer and it comes through with the gorgeous photos she took. Her disposition is energetic and cheerful as well as being extremely professional. The photos capture the joy of the day that we and our guests felt. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer.
Excellent location where the Lynnhaven River meets the Chesapeake Bay. Our reception took place upstairs in the Lesner Hall, the more formal of the spaces, and was gorgeous! We also had use of the Sun Deck which was great since we got lucky with a 60 degree day in late February. The Catering Manager Lauren was extremely helpful and professional and always got back to us right away. Lastly, the food was delicious - we did a 2 entree dinner buffet along with the displayed and passed hors d'oeuvres. Our guests loved the place and the food as much as we did. It was a perfect place for us.
Most of our guests came from out of town and our reception was just down the road at the Lesner Inn. Close by, but too far to walk so there was a shuttle that took our guests. It cost, but not much and was entirely worth it. The VBRH was a wonderful place for us & our guests to stay. The staff was extremely helpful. And, our guests loved the indoor pool in late February. Plus, it situated right on the Chesapeake Bay and every room has a view of it. I would recommend booking the higher floors if you can for better views.
