Our wedding turned our beautiful on the windward side of Oahu! Kaneohe is somewhat off the beaten path and a perfect place for an outdoor, non-hotel ceremony and reception. I feel that beauty of the mountains and lush greenery completely overshadow any weather issue (our day was really hot, but Sept has been oddly warm this year). The day went by SO fast, so regardless of where you have your wedding, take time to enjoy it, and soak it all in :)
This was a GORGEOUS location and could not believe the ambiance this venue exuded on our wedding day. Come prepared with mosquito repellent (my MOH got nailed by one). Also, I highly recommend a Day-of-Coordinator since there was a little chaos as to the beginning and end of the ceremony. If you plan on using the lawn area as we did, I don't recommend renting a lot of chairs since most guests stood up during the ceremony due to the fact that the chairs were not shaded. Nancy Kreis will be your point of contact for reserving the venue but does not act as a coordinator. Other than that, it was absolutely wonderful!
It was an awesome location, food and atmosphere were excellent, gorgeous view overlooking Haiku Gardens. Tina was awesome about getting us great deals with her preferred vendors which saved us tons. Once again, Day-of-Coordinator would have been awesome to overlook guest list before hand since I had mistakenly displaced a bunch of guests. Also, if you are using their preferred cake vendor, be very clear what you want as far as keeping the top layer--I was not clear and it ended up getting served when I should have ordered extra sheet cake to serve the guests! Oh well, guess I have to get a outrageous cake for our anniversary!
