Overall, our wedding in Princeton, TX was fantastic! It was about an hour from our home but was well worth the drive to meet the elegant yet, low key, outdoor vision we wanted.
Ginger Shocklee did an amazing job for our wedding. She had us come to her home for a variety of cakes to taste and we chose the Strawberry Shortcake. I gave her a picture of my vision and she met that exact picture with the cake and the real flowers I gave her to place on it. I couldn't have been more pleased. She did our DP can groom's cake as well, which turned out awesome. We definitely reccommend her and will think of her for any future events as well.
Our wedding was at the 1899 Farmhouse, which I fell in love with as soon as I saw it. The owners are very nice, let us come out a few times to time things or to look at the pavillion for decor ideas. Everything went down great. I would just advise, when you choose end time, get out right then or they will charge you for it...whether it is to clean up your belongings or extra celebration time. Other than that, all was fantastic and we loved our wedding there.
The Hilton was the closest hotel to our venue and easy to navigate to and from the venue. The room we had was fantastic, very clean, and had the hugest whirlpool tub! We ended up not eating breakfast from there, but the buffet they had looked very good.
