We wanted a beach wedding without having to travel and this was more than we expected. The day was very hot, but what do you expect for August? When we got to the beach there was a nice breeze and that helped cool everyone off. We had the ceremony towards sunset and it was so beautiful. Everyone gathered around us as we said our vows. It was everything we wanted, casusl, beautiful, and full of love.
Only for very small parties unless you are having them cater off site. Very good food, OK service. They did set up flowers on the tables for us and we did not expect that, it was a nice suprise.
Marilyn did a great job from the first time we met her and picked out our ceremony (she has lots of choices to make it as personal as you want it.), to the day of the ceremony.
The place to go for cheap dresses, not for service. They will treat you good the day you try on dresses, but after that, forget it. Don't even thing of getting your dress altered there.
Mona does this out of her home as a business. She has many years of experience and did a fantastic job and you only have to go a month or two before your wedding. She gives the dress back to you right before the wedding.
Beverly Shores Beach near Michigan City, IN was so beautiful. Parking was another story, you might have to walk a ways, OK if you don't have a lot of people coming. The sunset ceremony was perfect with a nice breeze coming off the water. Perfect beach wedding.
The Duneland Beach Inn was a very nice place to have our small reception, only 20 people. We wanted it to be about us and the food with cake. No dancing or any of the rest. So this was the perfect place for us. The food was amazing!
