Jordan and I were married August 2, 2008 outdoors at Pfeil Creek in Manhattan, KS. Although it ended up beind the hottest day of the year all of our vendors and everyone we came in contact with was so great. We couldn't have asked for a better day. Just be prepared to book far in advance in the Manhattan area, it is VERY hard to get the location you may prefer. You usually must book 18-24 months in advance. Even though we didn't get our 'preferred' location, I couldn't have been happier! Oh, and Wedding Mapper was a great resource to share with our guests. We'd highly recommend using it!
Karen Avery is absolutely amazing. Her cakes are top notch and she is the sweetest woman. She is nothing short of AMAZING and we could not have been happier with our cake.
Great communication and a perfect DJ for your event. They had a ton of energy and made sure everything went the way we wanted it to before, during, and after the wedding.
#1 photographer in Manhattan hands down! John and Cindy are so much fun and I have not seen better pictures from anywhere else in town. They do everything digitally and their selection of wedding albums is really impressive. Make sure you contact them!
Was the perfect location...even though it was 105 degrees! The only complaint I have was that we had to mow it ourselves...but the guys at the Corps of Engineers are great to work with and will hook you up if you wish to rent this location. It was only $25!!!!!
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Jessica Miner is the event manager and she made our reception so WONDERFUL! I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever and she really worked with us and made sure we loved everything--it was perfect and I strongly recommend this location--but beware you must book far in advance (as with everything in Manhattan and the surrounding area!).
