Our wedding was TRULY memorable!!!! It rained in the morning (good luck I'm told) and was a beautiful afternoon and evening afterwards!!! I loved every minute of the day-even the part where while we were taking pictures outside under a tree a bird decided that was the opportune time to go to the bathroom on my dress!!! It did come out thanks to my P.A.'s Andrea and Mindy and their Tide Pens, Bleach Pens and wet naps. At the reception the DJ equipment only worked through the mother-son dance and the malfunction was blamed on the Holiday Inn (questionable blame) so one of our friends went home to get his own stereo equipment and DJ'd the rest of the night. Family and friends stuck through the music debacle and had a great time. We were truly blessed to have such great family and friends that helped up celebrate our special day
This is where I ordered bridesmaid dresses from. They had a very friendly staff and reasonable prices. The bridesmaid dresses came in 2 weeks earlier than when they told me they would be in also.
I won a door prize at a bridal fair for these guys, so my husband and my dad got their tuxes for free and the ring bearer got his for half off. They had a great selection and colors that matched our colors we picked out. They were very good to work with.
I do not recommend Complete Music. We were not treated well at all. First the manager rarely returns phone calls or email after you pay the deposit. The sound board they brought did not work. The original DJ we picked never contacted us once-not even the day before the wedding, so we had to get a new DJ at the last minute. Our poor DJ did a fantastic job when the sound board did work, but when it crapped out and she was on the phone with her boss-she was getting very little support from him. There are better choices for DJ's and music in the Omaha area. The only good thing was that we got a refund.
Tim was one of the brightest spots of our wedding day. He and his wife Mary did an amazing job of coordinating the pics, while dealing with some unpredicted complications with people arriving and birds pooping. the Graffs are family friends and I would recommend them to anyone for engagement, wedding, senior, or family pictures!!!!
Althea at the Blossom Khardt made the flowers more beautiful than I could have imagined!!! They were the perfect shades to match the bridemaid dresses, they were perfect colors for an early June wedding-and most of all they were exactly what I wanted!!! They do amazing work for a relatively inexpensive price. They are located in Beatrice, NE-but are worth the extra drive!!!
Doing the wedding invitations was one of my favorite things about wedding planning. I had seen an invitation from a family friend earlier in the year and she said she had them made here. So I contacted them and told them I wanted invitations similar to my friend's, but with my own touch. I designed them all!! The gals at Big B's never hesitated to send me a proof via email of what the invitation was looking like and to proofread. I also believe they are one of the most inexpensive places around to get/design invitations that are quality and don't look cheap! I recommended Big B's to all my girlfriends that were getting married this year-and bragged to the ones who paid an arm and a leg for invites about how much I paid!!!
Do not buy a dress here!!!!! I ordered my dress in Aug. (for my wedding the following June) and the dress came in on May 15-2.5 weeks before the wedding!!!!!! After I placed the order my vail came in around Thanksgiving, and at that time they did not know when my dress would be in-they said they had to order it from Europe (I had no idea the dress was made in Europe). Around Christmas I was told the dress would be in mid-Feb/early-Mar. In Feb. I was told it would be in around late-Mar./early-Apr. Early April I was told it would be shipped on Apr. 15 and be in 10-14 days after that. Apr. 30-still no dress and no tracking number and was told the dress was somewhere in Italy but they didn't know where. Then when I picked up the dress on May 15, I took it straight to a trusted tailor and tried on a dress that had rub marks around the top of the dress like it had been tried on-or like the people at Bridal Detail still didn't have my actual dress by May 15 and sold me the dress off-the-rack for full cost. I also found out that another bride who got married the same day as me went through the exact same turmoil. I cannot stress enough to look elsewhere for a dress!!!!!!!
A old, small church, with a lot of tradition in my husband's family. The pastor told us that our wedding was the fullest she had seen the church. Construction around the church did cause problems for some of the drivers-but other than that a very quaint church for our close-knit family.
Initially had some problems knowing who our actual wedding coordinator was-but once we got Alex, it was GREAT!!! She was very fun to work with!!! She would give input, but not overstep her boundaries.
