Fab music, very professional, stuck to the playlists I gave them, but added their own groove to keep the party moving - AND the emcee pronounced everyone's name correctly!!! :)
To their credit, the staff at the 1420 Room did a very good job the day of the wedding. However, on the weeks leading up to the event, I had the unfortunate experience of being informed last minute of things that were against their policies. None of these "new policies" were mentioned when the new management at the 1420 Room took over from the group I initially booked with, therefore, I was all but blindsided when I was informed - the day before my wedding no less - that the baker could not ice our cupcakes, or assemble the cupcake tower on site on the day of. Now, I'm not saying that this policy is not the norm - it very well could be - however, it's not like I've gotten married every weekend for the past 10 years...so, obviously, I wouldn't know what the rules are! There was a constant feeling that I was leading the venue, instead of the venue leading me, and that was very frustrating. The cupcake calamity was only one small part of the issues we had when it was down to the wire. Granted, it all worked out in the end, but the entire process felt like a big ball of stressful confusion on the weeks leading up to the wedding.
These guys were amazing! Excellent customer service and were nice enough to deliver all the gift bags for my OOT guests for us!
BOOOOO! This is SUPPOSED to be one of the finest hotels in the Perimeter, however, I will tell you straight up that they are liars who couldn't give a rat's behind about you, your guests or your wedding! Here's the drama: We wanted to have a little wedding after party at the hotel bar.On their website, The Sheraton Atlanta CLAIMS that the lobby bar is open until 12:00am on Saturdays. But just to be sure we had enough time to get good and tipsy after the wedding, we spoke with the event coordinator at the hotel and had it put in writing that the hotel lobby bar would be open after our wedding for as long as we wanted. Ha! When my husband and I got there...at 11:00pm (a whole hour BEFORE the website claims closing time is)...IT WAS CLOSED! I had a fit and me, along with three other people had to get on the phone with the general manager and pretty much beg for him to reopen the bar, as we had 40 guests waiting to go it. It was not the drama I needed right after my beautiful wedding. Please, I beg you, DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY and encourage this behavior.
