Check out the Soul Searchers- several of my friends and I have used this band and it will totally make your reception! Worth the investment.
Also W.O. Smith building- modern, different, you'll like it.
Absolutely incredible 8 piece band!! I come from a family of established career musicians and chose my band very carefully- everyone is still talking about our band 6 months after our wedding. I've referred them to three of my sorority sisters who all used The Soul Searchers and loved them, too! Would absolutely recommend- they will do the timing of your reception perfectly without you having to worry about it/direct them at all, and provide so much energy and enthusiasm without being "too much" like other wedding bands. It's all professional musicians doing this on the side, so they've all played with big-name bands in the past and are now doing this together just because they love it.
Perfect in every way. Judy, our wedding planner there who was included in our church fee, was just wonderful- had everything in ship-shape even with 12 in the wedding party and lots going on. Very personal, absolutely breathtaking organ playing throughout.
You need to consider this venue if you're looking at a guest list with 125 max seated! I was very hesitant to have my reception at a "school" but my father convinced me to go see it. I can't thank him enough- it is very modern, has no resemblence of a school at all (it's in the back behind the performance hall and ultra modern lobby), and has a beautiful view of the Nashville skyline at night.
Modern updated lobby, but challenging to work with managers on room booking if any of your guests have to come in a couple nights before- they won't extend discounted rate to them.
