The photographer changed their name from Canvas Photography to Pulse Photography.
The very first thing I booked was the photographer and I interviewed 4 photographers.
I chose this photographer because for the price I paid I got an upgraded leather photo album and 2 parent albums. Anton was at every important event during the wedding day which included my Tea Ceremony, Ceremony, formal photo shoot, and reception up to my first dance. During the Ceremony Anton's wife was also there to take photos.
Anton has an awesome personality and fun to work with. I would high recommend any couple to use this photography for their wedding day.
We got a great deal from Raj because he is my brother's friend. Raj followed us all day and captured great moments. We got our dvd set with great footage of the entire day.
Highly recommend this videographer.
All of our out of town guests stayed at this hotel. They let me and my husband stay for only $99. All of the rooms have been redecorated and look great.
The best part was the hotel was right around the corner from Silver Dragon so my guests could just walk back to the hotel and didn't have to worry about taking a cab or having a designated driver.
I paid an extra $200 to do a wedding ceremony rehearsal and most of the things discussed during the rehearsal and what was suppose to happen didn't quite happen perfectly.
The bride hides behind a freight elevator and it was discussed that I would be able to hear the music so I know when I'm suppose to walk out. During the big day my bridesmaids and I had to guess when it was time to start walking. That was kind of nerve racking. Also there was prelude music suppose to be playing while the guests are waiting but they ended up playing that music at the very end while people were leaving.
Other than that the actual Ceremony was great it's a fairly unique inexpensive location to get married in. We wanted an outdoor location but because Calgary has unpredictable weather this was the best location to get the same atmosphere.
Currently they are renovating this location and I have no idea when it is suppose to re-open.
The only complaint I have with this location is they did not have a dance floor you have to rent one.
When I got to Silver Dragon and saw it all decorated I was pretty shocked how it was transformed from what it usually looks like. I really love the back drop they put behind the head table and how they put up a wall between my reception section and the public. I was a little worried they would still be open to the public and the people would disturb the flow of the evening but I didn't notice the public at all.
My reception had about 175 people. I was able to rent a dance floor that was 15x15 feet and the DJ was in the corner. My cake was placed on the danced floor to the side.
The food was AWESOME! You can't go wrong with a 12 course meal, your guests will definately be full.
We brought in our own pop and alcohol which the restaurant served to my guests.
I was a little worried about his venue because I didn't sign a contract them but everything went well and it was close to the hotel where some of my guests stayed.
