The cake was pretty and delicious! We are not big cake people, but I looked forward to having this cake for 11 months after the tasting!
Overall I was happy with our flowers. There was a little hiccup since they do not send preview photos of the bouts/corsages, a large portion of ours were incorrect so I had to send them back and wait for replacements. I had to pay the return shipping which I thought was weird since it was their mistake. But, I did like how the bouquets turned out and in the end all of the bouts/corsages were correct.
They got the right tuxes and the right colors, but half of the guys were swimming in their pants and told to just pull the tabs as tight as possible. Even doing that, some were still sagging and they weren't offered a switch or anything.
Our DJ was Mickey Sawyer. He was very good at keeping the crowd happy. But, he verified our must play list multiple times and then didn't play them. He also stopped all of our vendors earlier than the reception was supposed to end. To be fair, the vendors should have checked with us and not just listened to the DJ.
The people at the chapel were pretty helpful. The only thing they did wrong was tell the ushers to seat all 3 of the groom's parents on a tiny little pew instead of putting one in the next row, as we had instructed. I recommend you review the sheet Steve fills out with your coordinator to make sure things like this don't happen.
Carla was great to work with. The food was very good; we got lots of comments on it. They worked with us to do a private tasting when my husband could be in town. Our only real problem was with the bar, who shut down over a half hour early, apparently because the DJ told them to? We are waiting for a refund check they offered that hasn't come yet, going on 3 weeks after they said it would be mailed. Haven't heard back as to why it hasn't arrived.
People got the rates promised, but 1/2 of our guests were told we didn't have a block even though every time I called to check on it they told me it DID exist. A lot of confusion for such a simple thing.
