Linda was absolutely the sweetest vendor I had the pleasure of working with. Her bouquets and centerpieces were lovely and took my breath away. She was willing to work with my budget, really listened to what I wanted, and had great ideas herself. She's the total package, and I would highly recommend her to any bride!
We were so happy to work with Father Steve and the wonderful staff at St. Joachim's. Father Steve was very kind and patient. The church is simple, but beautiful especially when light is streaming in through the windows in the afternoon. The only reason I didn't give it the full 5 stars is because I felt the rehearsal was rushed, and we feel as though we didn't get enough time to ask questions about order, etc.
Overall, the venue was what my now hubby and I had wanted: a beautiful country club wedding that our guests would enjoy. We got alot of compliments from people who were pleasantly surprised by the food exceeding expectations of typical wedding fair. I barely got to touch the food so I can't speak from first-hand knowledge! The ballroom is the perfect size for a wedding of 200-250 people; it strikes just the right balance between intimacy and spaciousness. And the fact that they have the balcony overlooking the golf course available for the cocktail hour was outstanding. I really wanted to have bring the outdoor in without having the wedding outdoors (the floor to ceiling windows also helped). The major detraction I have was the fact that about a week befor the wedding, the wedding planner w/the venue that we had worked left for another job, and the new planner was not familiar w/the terms of our contract. In sum, they tried to charge as more than what we had originally agreed to so needless to say, my hubby was livid, and I was ready to tear my hair out. In the end, we were able to work it out, but that's the last thing any bride (or groom) wants to worry about right before the wedding. Take home message: always get everyting in writing.
