A wedding in Hanover/Gettysburg is absolutely a great idea! There are a ton of places for guests to find accomodations, and Gettysburg is full of things to do during the week before for those guests who come really early.
As for places to have pictures taken, Hanover has Codorus State Park and Gettysburg is a big park! We chose the local mini-golf-course. It's where we used to go for the occasional date, and the waterfalls and caves made for some beautiful pictures!
Amazing Church for a Catholic wedding! There's only one priest for this church, though, so planning may not go as quickly as you might like. Still, definitely worth it!
We didn't have to worry about a thing! They provide the food, the tables, the chairs, glasses, everything! The dance floor is a good size, too! There's also an actual bar within the banquet room! Very beautiful! They even have center pieces for the tables (included in the price!).
From what my guests told me, this hotel was very accomodating! They held a block of rooms for our guests, and it is right next door to Impressions Banquet! Apparently the party kept going after guests returned to the hotel, and the staff was totally understanding about it since they were from the wedding!
Beautiful facility, amazing food, kind of expensive. The tavern in the basement isn't too bad on pricing, but is still more than Friendly's.
